“In recent years, philosophy and mythology have played a central role in my work, allowing me to explore the human experience. They have given me the opportunity to reflect on the nature of existence—its causes and consequences—and to seek meaning in the events of the world. The recent works presented in this exhibition revolve around the theme of loneliness. The series The Warrior Fighting the Dragon refers to the eternal struggle between the hero and the dragon. This time, however, the ‘artist,’ representing contemporary humanity, appears defeated, isolated, and helpless. Heroic virtues have abandoned him, while the darker self, embodied by the myth of the dragon, has taken control.”
