"At first glance, the people I paint appear motionless, like sculptures; yet within their inner layers there are details and movements. This is how I perceive the world: one or more static forms on the outside, combined with countless layers and movements within. Forms that continue from the central layer toward infinity, constantly shifting from one state to another.

In my works, these creatures possess neither good nor evil qualities. Like an insect, they can be very beautiful while at the same time causing great harm to plants. My paintings contain many contradictory combinations. Yet, in my work, this contradiction functions like a form, similar to the same static shape emerging from the same point.

In my Children of Adam series, I present both a general and an individual perspective on the human family on earth. They resemble ornaments and antiques emerging from the depths of history. They stand like sculptures, repeating their stories in silence and oblivion, positioned at the center of a picture frame."
