Second-Order Encounters invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between humans and animals, exploring the possibilities of communication, coexistence, and shared emotional experience across species.
 

Rather than approaching nature as an "other," the exhibition examines the connections we establish through encounter, perception, and interaction. The animals we refer to as the "second order" are presented not as subjects to be represented, but as autonomous beings. They cease to be objects of observation and instead become presences that look back at us, listen to us, and ultimately transform us.
 

The works seek to make visible interspecies empathy, silent dialogues, and the world shared by humans and animals. Challenging an anthropocentric perspective, the participating artists approach the existence of animals as a space of encounter rather than a theme of representation. Each work invites the viewer into an act of closeness—a shared gaze, a breath, a silent understanding.
 

Second-Order Encounters is not simply an exhibition about animals. It is an invitation to live alongside them, to feel with them, and to rethink what it means to share the world with other living beings.
